1. Cool White Solar Lights (x3) - 12 powerful circular lights feature individual LEDs. Being incredibly bright and versatile these lights are attachable via a 1x1 or 3x3 stud —or by utilising a LEGO® bar through the centre.

2. Blue Solar Caps (x3) - Add an instant lighting vibe with clip-on caps that transform white beams into an icy blue sci-fi glow. There’s plenty of room for customisation, and they’re also compatible with standard LEGO® pieces.

3. Cool White Astro Lights (x4) - Regular single-LED lights that are perfect for tight interiors or highlighting small details. The ultra-compact design fits inside bricks or through open studs with ease.

4. Cool White Astro Gun Effect Lights (x4) - Great for simulating blaster fire, warning lights, or flickering panels, these effect lights are designed with a built-in flashing effect. They can be easily mounted on a LEGO® plate.

5. Red Astro Micro Rotating Effect Light (x1) - Like little mini marvels of light, these are micro LEDs that flash in sequence, producing a rotating effect. They are ideal for control panels, engine rooms, or hazard warnings.

Lighting Up the Galaxy Explorer with the Light My Bricks™ Sci-Fi Starter Pack

A Step-by-Step Guide: Lighting Your LEGO® Set

Step 1: Plan Your Lighting Design

In our demo, we focused on the Galaxy Explorer’s cockpit, engine boosters, and exterior warning lights. 

Step 2: Light Up Your Interior Details First

We began with the Astro Micro Rotating - Red 30cm, placing it in the control panel to simulate a warning beacon.

After removing the top section of the ship

and some interior elements to access the cockpit more easily.

Also remove the control panel as this is where the rotating light will sit.

Hold the rotating light over the stud and hold it in place with a 1x1 LEGO plate.

Next, we added a Astro Regular Cool White 30cm inside the cockpit to highlight dashboard details.

Click the control panel back into place.

Step 3: Cable Management

All cables were routed flat towards the back of the ship and in between LEGO® studs to maintain structural integrity.

Route the cables flat between the studs on the floor of the cockpit

and then replace all the parts removed earlier.

Plug the lights into the dock.

Click the dock down in the centre of the ship where there’s space.

The lights will add motion and realism to your cockpit.

We put a Astro Light Regular Cool White inside the cockpit to highlight all the details inside.

They are ideal for interior lighting!

Step 4: Add Exterior Effects

We attached Astro Regular Gun Effects - Cool White 30cm to the sides of the ship under transparent red LEGO® pieces, turning them into flashing emergency signals. 

Adding the lights under the trans red pieces that the Lego set came with changes the color of the lights too.

Step 5: Power the Engines

Two Solar Light - Cool White 30cm were inserted into the engine boosters.

For a more authentic sci-fi look, clip on the blue solar caps, giving the engines a distinct hyperdrive glow.

Plug in all your cables into the dock 6. Once plugged in, use and eclipse to hold them all together and in place.

Step 6: Connect and Power Up

Connect a belt from the Dock 6 into the Flux Converter, then connect the Flux Converter to a power source via USB-C.

Note: The power source isn’t  included in the starter pack but is available in the Power section on the Light My Bricks™ website.

All lights and effects instantly come to life, and now you’ve achieved your sci-fi masterpiece!
