Here’s What You’ll Need To Create Your Tyrant Lizard King Masterpiece!

To make your Lizard King truly shine, you’ll need the following Light My Bricks™ DIY lighting components:

• 2 x Spotlight Packs (Warm White)

• 1 x Flux Belt – 60cm

Step-by-Step: How to Light Your LEGO® Jurassic Park Tyrant Lizard King

Start by threading the Large Warm White Astro Light through a 1x1 round plate.

Insert the plug end first and pull it through to the end. Bend the cable at a 90° angle so the light faces upward inside the LEGO® piece.

Add the Astro Cap over the top. This gives a polished and directional spotlight effect that’s super clean.

Take a modified 1x1 round plate and attach the studs straight onto that.

Thread the cable back through the bar handle for clean cable routing. This is one of our top lighting tips for LEGO® fossil display: keep them tidy and as neat as possible!

Step 2: Add Adjustable Skeleton Arm

This adjustable arm is perfect to allow us to pivot and control the spotlight so we can point it in different directions.

Clip the Skeleton Arm onto a 1x1 round plate modified with bar handle

Thread the belt through the bar handle, this will keep the cable nice and neat rather than hanging out the side of the spotlight.

Now all you need to do is repeat this 8 times!

Step 3: Preparing the Display Area

First up we remove the plaque

And the minifigure base

We will also remove a couple of the LEGO elements here including tiles

This allows you to hide wires and install your docks discreetly.

Step 4: Dock & Belt Connection

Take one of the 50cm Belt so we can start to add power and plug into the two flux belt ports in the dock.

Now the two docks are connected.

Click down the docks back into place and then take your Flux Light Belt (60cm)

Connect it to the remaining port. This forms the central power source and lets you power all eight spotlights.

Step 5: Be Creative! Position Your Spotlights

Take your additional spotlights and mount your lights wherever they make the most dramatic impact. Ensure that the 30cm cable for each spotlight can reach the position where you have mounted the dock, and you’ll be all set to power up!

Step 6: Lights, Camera, Action - Powering Your Awesome Tyrant Lizard King!

Route your spotlights from the sides into the centre where the docks are located and plug them into any of the Astro ports.

Neatly bundle the cables together and then replace the sign to hold them all discreetly in place.

To take your build even further, you can tidy up your cables by removing a couple of the LEGO elements and running cables directly behind.

You can run the belt directly behind the LEGO pieces and clip them back into place for a super clean finish.
